Properties of aprotic electrolytes for lithium-ion accumulators
Staněk, Vladimír ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
The present work deals with the properties of suitable electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries. The first part described in the current issue of electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, types of solvents and their properties and methods of measurement properties. The second part is devoted to the measurement of the properties of solvents and electrolytes such as relative permittivity, density and viscosity. Measurement of relative permittivity was focused on the measurement of the solvent mixture with varying the percentage of the solvent. Viscosity and density were measured on a solvent with a lithium salt added (final electrolyte).
Interaction of Negative Electrodes and Ionic Liquids
Mahdalová, Kateřina ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Máca, Josef (advisor)
This work deals with electrolytes and ionic liquids for Li-ion batteries. Following interaction of electrolytes and ionic liquids to electrodes material. In the theoretical part attention is focused on the description of battery electrolytes and ionic liquids for lithium-ion batteries.
Stability of aprotic electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries
Krištofík, František ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The Master thesis describe basic electrochemical processes in lithium-ion batteries and characteristic organic polar solvents for these articles. It focuses primarily on the aprotic liquid electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries and the subsequent use of gas chromatography to analyze the collected gas sample from the test article. For this experiment is, in this Master thesis, designed and described experimental arrangement in the form of a glass cell, which allows collection from the space above the working electrode. Finally, the work evaluates the effect of electrode potential on the stability of electrolytes in strongly positive potentials.
Methods for the fast detection of water and degradation changes in lithium based electrolytes
Šimek, Antonín ; Čech, Ondřej
This paper deals with lithium-ion batteries, specifically the electrolytes used. The degradation mechanisms oflithium-ion batteries are addressed, with a focus on electrolytedegradation. A considerable part is then devoted to thedegradation of lithium hexafluorophosphate, especially afterexposure to water or moisture. The decomposition of the lithiumsalt is linked to the evolution of hydrofluoric acid, whose influenceon the electrolyte parameters and methods of fast detection is thesubject of the experimental section.
Gel Polymer Electrolytes Based On MMA With Ionic Liquids
Jahn, Michal
Gel polymer electrolytes are perspective electrolytes for new types of Li-ion batteries today. The properties respectively advantages of these gels can be used also in other fields of electrochemistry. Very promising combination can be electrochemically stable polymers and ionic liquids, which are substances that consist of an organic cation and an inorganic or organic anion, with a melting point below 100 °C. Main advantages of ionic liquids are high ionic conductivity, inflammability and excellent electrochemical stability. These ionic liquids may be suitable for new lithiumion batteries and supercapacitors, especially where the required higher thermal stability. In this paper, I will present fundamental characteristics of gel polymer electrolytes with ionic liquids.
Gel Polymer Electrolytes for Use in Lithium-ion Batteries
Jahn, Michal
Gel polymer electrolytes are perspective electrolytes for new types of Li-ion batteries today. The properties respectively advantages of these gels can be used also in other fields of electrochemistry. The gel polymer electrolyte is composed of a conductive component (liquid electrolyte) and the polymer component (methacrylate). In this paper I present fundamental characteristics of gel polymer electrolytes. This paper presents a principle of gel polymer electrolytes, fundamental measurement and their evaluation. I present the techniques of measurement and preparation of this gel polymer materials. Potentiostatic impedance, linear sweep voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge techniques were used for characterization of the samples.
